It is fun to travel up and down the coast when the views are so beautiful.

We were on our way to a dental appointment in Lincoln City.

We enjoyed Erica's visit this month. She flew in to have DeWayne put a crown on her tooth. She used Vince's frequent flyer miles so got here for free. When the crown came back from the lab her Dad mailed it to her dentist in Utah to be put on. She was here for just a few days--definitly not long enough. Here we are in the car on our way to DeWayne's office in Lincoln City.


We stopped up on Neah-Kah-Nie Mt. for photos as usual and to enjoy the view.


It is beautiful even on cloudy days


I took this out the car window as we drove by. It is one of the Three Graces in the channel where Tillamook Bay entered the ocean.

The smoke stack in Garibaldi (my home town) is all that is left of the lumber mill where my step-father, Eino, worked.


Looking across the bay at the Bay Ocean peninsula which separates the bay from the ocean, hence the name.

January 2009

Here I finally am --five months behind and trying to catch up with my blogging.


Here is Chantrell climbing up my leg with Brenna behind her. Brenna was still crawling on her elbows doing what Michelle and Barry called her "army crawl".


Here is Brenna on her tummy and elbows. She had a hard time trying to catch up with Chantrell.


Michelle is working on the fixings for her birthday. She makes the meals and the cakes for everyone including herself.

We have a tradition of celebrating Michelle's birthday on Superbowl Sunday, hence the football shaped cake.


We call this fawn an albino since it is so unusual with all the white.


It is so cool to see the herd of elk lounging around in Surf Pines.

I can't figure out why the kids are so interested when the babies get their diapers changed. They even want to use the baby wipes and help and if it is poop, they want to know what color it is. Wierd!
